Chennai - Fin de India

Lo que en principio solo era una visita a los tios de Siri, que viven en Chennai, ha sido la cerecita encima del pastel del viaje en India. La verdad que Hakan y Angela, aparte de ser muy majos, nos han tratado de maravilla... Primero nos llevaron a renovar un poco el vestuario para estar presentables (falta que hacia!) e ir a cenar la mejor comida India que hemos probado. Otro dia genial de tranquis en la playa, banandonos en una piscina porque el mar no colaboraba mucho... Otra cenita maravillosa de comida thai... Su vecino nos saco a tomar algo con sus amigotes y luego, domingo por la noche, nos juntamos toda la famila a ver la final... Compras por aqui... paseillos por ahi... tatuajes de henna... visitas turisticas... en fin.. a base de buena vida nos han devuelto la energia!!

What was a visit to Siris uncles (Hakan and Angela, who live in Chennai) turned out to be the perfect cherry for the top of our cake! I was very glad to finally meet them and, besides being very charming, they were amazingly kind to us... First we renew our outfits (very indeed needed) to be presentable for Chennais nightlife... Took us out for dinner into the best Indian food restaurant and an amazing Thai restaurant. The second day we spent it in a beach resort swimming, relaxing and playing with the sea waves... just like kids!! Their neighbour, Rohan, took us out to a bar, with live music and plenty of his friends... Of course sunday night gathered all the family in front of the tv cheering for Spain (well almost all of it...) Adding to this some shopping, sightseeing, henna tatoos, nice dinners and good chatting... they really managed to bring the force back to us!

Servidor, aburrido, se dedico a hechar fotos en el mega tute de viaje en tren que nos pegamos! Aparte de una ventana para el mundo, es un pequeno homenaje a quien se haya tirado 33horas en un tren indio... pero estoy seguro que a todos os gustara!

Myself, really bored, dadicated some time to photograph the crazy train journey we did! Besides being a window for the world, is a little something for those how have spent 33hours in an indian train... but I am sure you will all enjoy it!

~ ~ ~TAJ MAHAL~ ~ ~

Primero lo ves en la distancia, la tipica imagen de toda la vida, majestuoso con el cielo como decorado y reflejado en la superficie del agua... y si, es como una joya. A medida que te acercas, cruzando los jardines celestiales (construidos a semejanza de la descripcion del cielo en el Coran), empiezas a darte cuenta de lo grande y lo bonito que es. Cuando lo tienes delante de tus narices, entiendes lo increible que es este edificio. Enorme en cualquier aspecto, enorme en tamano, enorme en belleza, enorme en trabajo, enorme en significado... Es realmente tan bonito como dicen... y seguramente el edificio mas bonito en el mundo.

Puedes crearte muchas expectatibas... y de todas formas el Taj Mahal no decepciona! Imposible!!

First you see it from the distance, the thypical way you've always seen it, standing with the sky as background and reflected on the ponds surface... and it really looks like a little jewel. As you walk closer, trough the heaven like gardens (constructed the same way heaven is descrived in the Coran), you start realizing how big and how really beautiful it is. Once you have it next to you, you understand that it is an amazing building. Huge in any aspect, huge in size, huge in beauty, huge in work, huge in meaning... It is really as beautifull as they say... and probably the most beautiful building in the world.

You can create lots of expectations... and still... the Taj Mahal won't fail to amaze you! For sure!!
